De boot van team Hearttofollow kwam gisteren naar Nederland! Marieke le Duc en Renate de Backere roeiden in 2020 de Atlantische oceaan over, en gaan in juni 2023 hun 2e oceaanoversteek maken; The Pacific Challenge! De schitterende R25 werd vandaag te water gelaten in Kortgene voor haar eerste rondje in Nederlands water. Kees overhandigde namens de Atlantic Sixties de felicitaties met bijbehorend bloemetje, en mocht ook een rondje mee over het Veerse Meer met de dames! En uiteraard mocht hij ook een stukje roeien, zijn allereerste meters aan de riemen in een oceaanroeiboot!
Team Hearttofollow's boat came over to the Netherlands yesterday! Marieke le Duc and Renate de Backere rowed the Atlantic Challenge in 2020, and will make their 2nd ocean crossing in June 2023; The Pacific Challenge! The beautiful R25 was launched today in Kortgene to make her first trip in Dutch waters. On behalf of the Atlantic Sixties Kees handed over congrats & flowers, and he was invited to join the ladies on this maiden voyage. And yes, he rowed for the very first time in an ocean rowingboat as well!
